Call for Abstracts!
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is requesting abstracts for the 2025 Eastern Black Bear Workshop.
The workshop theme will be "The Next Generation of Black Bear Management," recognizing continual change within the community of bear management professionals in the East. Among others, session topics may include:
- Managers' Forum: Lessons from Over the Hill
- Community Co-Management to Address Human-Bear Conflict
- The Role of Social Science in Bear Management
- Untangling Factors That Influence Bear Harvest & Conflict
We are requesting abstracts for oral presentations, panel discussions, facilitated discussions, and other formats of interest. We encourage abstracts to focus on the listed session topics but welcome submission of other topic ideas as well. Abstracts should be submitted by February 7, 2025 using the button below.
